Writing 501 Syllabus Response

Throughout my college experience at Winthrop, and with having a Technical Writing major, I have found that the class, Writing 501 will considerably help me with my goals of what I want to complete within my future. From looking through the syllabus and calendar, I have found that the course goals and projects are going to help me with preparation for my career in Technical Writing. Many of the goals within the syllabus are going to help me with understanding how print is moving towards being somewhat only digital, and how the world is constantly changing with each year. With the projects that are assigned to the class, I am very excited about the different ways of coming about the projects because they are going to teach me more about the new technologies that are coming out every year. Also with the projects, we are3 going to be able to dive right into how digital media works, understand why we have it, and actually use some software for digital media. The syllabus, in my opinion, seems very thought out, and seems as though everything on th4e schedule seems interesting.

Furthermore, my expectations for the class are that we will be learning about how digital media is coming into our lives at every moment because of how important it is. I am expecting to learn many different software programs for me to experience the way digital media is coming into our future fast. I am also hoping that I will make a good grade in this class because from my experience in Writing 502, I had so much fun, and truly had a blast in that class. For myself, I expect to learn as much as I can with digital media and how it all works. I am also fascinated by different software programs that will help me in my career as a Technical Writer. With all of this, I feel as though I can come out of this class with new, open eyes to the world of technology.

My value as a student is that if you work hard, it will pay off in the end of things. As my college career has come to a last semester of classes, I have realized how important it is to keep a 3.0 GPA, and how easy it is to slip away from the homework and studying on must do for one to conquer those A’s. I find myself thinking all of the time, “why I have decided unconsciously to start to procrastinate, and wait until the last minute to get things done?” This semester things are going to change for the better, and hopefully I will be able to work at a good pace for me to get my work done efficiently and effectively.

With being a Super Senior at Winthrop, I have come to the conclusion that working hard pays off in the end of it all. This semester I will try to my hardest, and will hopefully get the grades I want as a senior. Overall, I better get myself in gear for the workload ahead.tumblr_m2782wfIi71rqyhloo1_500
